45^th Annual Torch Trophy Trust Awards

Basil Dawkins was among the recipients at December's 45^th Annual Torch Trophy Trust Awards at the The Queen's Club in London. Torch Trophy Awards are presented by the Trust to individuals who have been identified as making an outstanding contribution as a volunteer in their chosen sport. Basil was nominated by Scott McCarthy, the CEO of the British Judo Association, in recognition of his outstanding work with the youngsters of Moberly Judo Club. Basil, who started the club in 1997, has just celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the club and been responsible for over 100 national medals within that time. Basil continues to devote much of his time to ensuring that the members of Moberly Judo Club continue to enjoy their Judo.
