9th International Judo Tournament for Males Under 15 Years (Born in 1993 & 1994), Duisburg, Germany

This was an excellent "B Band" competition for boys born in 1993 and 1994. There were participants from several countries, including Belgium, England, Germany, Holland, Poland, Russia and Slovakia. The matches were 4 minutes and both arm locks and strangles were allowed. John Jayne was Moberly's only entry. He lost a very close semifinal match to a boy who won the final decisively in 15 seconds. John then won the Bronze medal match by scoring a wazari and two yukos before throwing the boy for ippon.
