European Cadet Cup Kiev 2013, Ukraine

John Jayne competed in Kiev on the weekend. He had a bye in the first round and won the next four by ippon to win the Gold medal at -90 kg. There were 27 competitors in his weight class.
John is now ranked first in -90 kg in the European Judo Union Ranking List.

This is the first time that a British boy has won a Gold Medal in the Kiev European Cadet Cup since it began in 2004.
