5^th International Judo Tournament "Tverskoy Olimp", Tver (north-west of Moscow), Russia

One member of the Moberly Judo Club participated in the 5^th International Judo Tournament "Tverskoy Olimp", Tver (north-west of Moscow), Russia. This was a very strong competition with participants from 12 countries: Armenia, Belarus, England, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Ukraine and Uzbekistan. John Jayne entered at -46 kg in both the U13 age band and in the U16 age band. He won Gold in U13 and 7^th in U16. In the U13 he had five matches and in the U16 he had six matches. There were 34 entries in the U13 and 37 entries in the U16. John was the only participant that was not from one of the former Republics of the Soviet Union.
