45^th USJF Junior National Championships, Chicago, Illinois, USA

As last year, one member of the Moberly Judo Club entered the 45^th USJF Junior National Championships that was held in Chicago, Illinois, USA. John Jayne won all four of his matches by ippon. In the final he defeated the boy who won the USJA Junior National Championship in Massachusetts two weeks earlier. This was John's second consecutive Gold Medal at these championships.

On Day 2 of the competition John was awarded the "Outstanding Male Competitor Prize". There were 46 male age/weight divisions on day 2 (namely in Bantam 1 (2002), Bantam 2 (2001), Bantam 3 (2000), Intermediate 1 (1998-1999), Intermediate 2 (1996-1997), Juvenile A (1994-1995), Juvenile B (1992-1993), IJF Junior (1989 and later)).
