36th Kempen Cup, Herentals, Belgium

The haul of six golds two silvers and two bronzes was enough to win the award for the best foreign club.

RESULTS SUMMARY

1992-1993
GOLD u42kg Adam Conroy
GOLD o63kg Ella Carter-Allen
SILVER u46kg Isaac Carter-Allen
BRONZE u60kg David Logan
BRONZE u66kg Renell Rutty

Adam was in excellent form winning all his contests with his typical dominating style of judo. Ella had to battle hard to overcome her much heavier opponent in her final, while Isaac and David were a little unfortunate in their respective final and semi-final defeats. Renell was very good value for his bronze, gaining more valuable experience.

5th Place u42 Jack Morgan

After a great performance Jack had to settle for a fifth place in the heavier -42k category.

1994-1995
GOLD Ramon Alexander
SILVER Reece Morgan

Ramon was also in great form, winning his final with his own version of sode-tsuri-komi goshi. Reece had to battle back from an early defeat to win a well deserved silver.

1996-1997
GOLD John Jayne
GOLD Petar Vlahovic
GOLD Lamar Joseph

The boys were all in sparking form. Each displaying an excellent array of techniques which set them apart from the rest in their group. For Lamar it was his very first gold medal, which was secured with a perfect morote-seoi-nage. Petar's newaza was exceptional, while John executed a beautiful ippon seoi-nage on his way to victory.
