Moberly Judo Club had two participants in this year's Junior World Judo Championships, Adam Conroy at -60 kg and David Logan at -73 kg..

Adam had a bye in the first round and then lost in the second round to a Turk (by a yuko, wazari and ippon to nil) who finished in 5th place. The Turk lost in the quarter final to a Brazilian who then lost to a Korean who then lost the final to a Japanese. This Turk won Bronze in the Turkish U20 National Championships in March, won Gold in the European Youth Olympics in 2009, and Silver in the European Cadet Championships in 2009.

David had a bye in the fist round and then lost in the second round to a Russian (by two yukos to nil) who won Bronze. The Russian lost in the quarter final to a Korean who then lost to a Kazak who then lost the final to a Japanese. This Russian placed 5th in the European Junior Championships in September and won Bronze in the Russian U20 National Championships in February.
