X Juegos Internacionales de Judo "La Feria 2008", Alhama, Spain

This was an excellent competition with boys and girls from five of the regions of Spain. Moberly Judo Club had two participants: John Jayne and Ramone Alexander. Ramone fought in two age bands: at -55 kg in the 1993-1994 age band and at -60 kg in the 1995-1996 age band. John fought in three age bands: at -42 kg in the 1997-1998 age band, at -42 kg in the 1995-1996 age band, and at -50 kg in the 1993-1994 age band (-50 kg was the lowest weight class). John had four fights in the oldest age band, five in the middle age band and three in the youngest age band. He won all of his fights in the younger two age bands by ippon, and two of the four fights in the older age band by ippon (the other two by yukos).

John was given the "Al Mejor Judoka" (To The Best Judoka) Trophy by the organizers.
