Olympic Hopes A-Cadets Judo Tournament, Kiev, Ukraine

The International EJU A- Cadets Judo Tournament "Olympic Hopes" for boys and girls born in 1992 and 1993 was held in Kiev, Ukraine, this last week end. Ella Carter-Allen was the only entry from the Moberly Judo Club. She won the Silver medal in the -70 kg category. Great Britain placed 6th in the Medal Table out of the 11 countries that won medals. The Medal Table and Results Table are below. The Ukraine won 31 out of the 68 medals, three short of 50%. The Ukraine and Russia together won 45 medals, i.e. 66% of the medals. Great Britain won three medals, all silver.

The competition is being followed by a training camp with Alexander Yatskevich, a Gold Medalist for the Soviet Union in the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.
